Text Messaging
includes one-way as well as two-way text messaging service. Any digital handset
is capable of receiving one-way text messages. Digital handsets with two-way
capability can send and receive text messages.

-Forward a message to another wireless phone or to any

Pricing
Text messages will
be charged at a rate of 8¢/send 8¢/receive, upon activation of a digital
phone.
Text Messaging Service Areas

capable handset will be able to use the send and/or receive service where
compatible digital service is available.

Alerts vs. Text
Messaging
Customers subscribing
to Text Messaging can receive bulletins from the Internet. Receipt of message
will deplete the customer's account at 8¢ per message.
Messages sent to
multiple addresses are also depleted at 8¢ per address.
Alert - A
notification that appears on the handset communicating that some type of
information has been delivered. An alert may contain the entire message or may
provide minimal information. An alert can be any one of the following:
- A notification that someone sent a text message.
- A
notification that wireless content requested from the Internet (i.e. news,
weather, horoscope, stock quote) or email, has been received.
- A
notification of a voicemail message.
- Customers are not charged for voicemail alerts.
Text Message - A combination of words and numbers sent to a
digital handset. A text message can be any one of the following:
- Information bulletin/wireless content (i.e. news, weather,
horoscope, stock quote).
- A message originated by one person and sent to a
digital handset. This type of message can be originated from any one of the
following sources:
- An Internet accessible email location (corporate email,
Internet email).
- VZW's text messaging site on the Internet (i.e.
www.msg.myvzw.com.)
- Another "two-way text messaging capable" handset.
- A "two-way paging device" (i.e., Motorola T-900 or Timeport pager).

An Internet capable personal information manager (i.e., Palm Pilot, or other
PIM).
Sending a Text Message
When sending a text message from:
A Page Plus two-way digital handset to another Page Plus
digital handset with text messaging
- Enter the 10 digit mobile number and press send.
The Internet or other email application
- Enter the 10 digit mobile number and press send.. Ex:
5552226666.
When sending to an address other than the mobile number
- Use the person's email address to send the message.

| Dual Mode Handset |
A wireless handset that works in digital 800MHz and

A wireless handset that works in digital 800MHz, 1900MHz,
and analog mode. Tri-mode handsets will work in all Page Plus markets.
